Ghoul Friday Decks the Halls With Heads of Zombies

I’m one of those people who occasionally loves a good mashup especially when it’s two of my all time favorite holidays: Halloween and Christmas. Tim Burton set the bar on that concept back in the 90s with A Nightmare Before Christmas. I’ve seen the occasional piece from time to time but they all seem imitate Burton’s style.

This year has seen a rise in the Spooky Christmas mashups and rising to the top is Ghoul Friday’s pieces. Her latest piece is a nice little vine and holly wreath with a zombie head smack in the middle. Pure genius I say – eat your heart out Tim Burton!

Winter Solstice, The White Reaper

Fellow Halloween haunter and dark artist Dave the Dead has unleashed a new piece called Winter Solstice, The White Reaper.

I don’t know if it’s just me or this year is seeing a rise in winter related dark art. Just the other day another brilliant dark artist Ghoul Friday unleashed some ghoulish little snow men on to the world. And this week also sees the release of Nox Arcana’s Winter’s Eve.

I’ll be keeping my eyes out for more wonderful dark creations this winter.
