Well, we’re mostly settled into the new haunt and plans are slowly underway for setting up. I snapped a few pics of the front yard to give an idea of how much space I’ll be working with this year. It’s almost like starting over because the prop to lawn real estate ratio has changed.
And here’s what the new dungeon below looks like. I’m really digging how it turned out. I’ve got good vibes about this year’s ‘ween.
I’ve been hearing that the buttons on the bottom are getting cut off for Droid Incredible users.
It’s a simple resolution correction and I just have to scale some of the layout images properly for the Incredible’s resolution. Ironically I’m surprised I didn’t hear about this sooner as the Incredible uses the same resolution as the Nexus One.
Again it’s a simple fix and the time to do it is the only issue. Right now we’re in the middle of moving to a new house and that’s been priority. So as soon as time free’s up from the move or if I get a break in between I’ll put an update together and push it out ASAP.
Love this commercial. It takes cues from The Matrix but does it a tiny bit creepier. Something about the red matrix pattern is unsettling but in a good way. I’m wishing I could trade up my Eris for the Incredible right about now.
Man there was lots of great stuff at Transworld this year. A shame everything’s all topsy turvy on the home front (having to move and everything – priorities ya know) because we would have LOVED to have made it out that way. Check out all the great footage Terra at Halloween Forum brought back for us.
The most common problem reported is “I downloaded it but I can’t find it anywhere.” This seems to be because a lot of people are not accustomed to the concept of widgets on their mobile device or they’re used to seeing apps that function as both an app AND a widget. The Halloween Countdown Widget is only a widget, it has no app interface and therefore will not show in the program launcher (which is where most people go looking for it).
You can only use this app as a widget. Widgets were introduced in Android 1.5 (lovingly known as Cupcake) so you’ll need to be on at least version 1.5 of Android to use this app. In lieu of that, this how-to is more about how to add a widget to one of your Android device screens.
First choose a screen with enough room for the widget. The Halloween Countdown Widget consumes a 2×2 spot (2 icons x 2 icons).
Long-press a free spot on the screen until a menu pops up and choose the selection that says Widget.
You’ll be presented with a list of possible widgets to add to your screen, among those will be the Halloween Countdown Widget. Select and enjoy.
